  • Overview

    The Business/ Finance  Analyst provides continual financial leadership, advisement and support of the Aviation division. This includes but is not limited to bids,proposals, financial and operational analysis, contract review, planning/budgeting, program, technical and financial statuses of the Aviation division.


    • Lead monthly presentation of Aviation division financial results to senior management team.
    • Analyze financial results, understand and explain primary drivers of significant variances from budget, prior forecast and the corresponding period of the prior year.
    • Prepare monthly rolling financial forecasts of revenue, cost of sales, gross profit, general administrative expenses and operating income, to include key assumptions such as overtime percentage, headcount and turnover rate.
    • Prepare annual financial plan utilizing rolling financial forecasts noted above.
    • Prepare bids and proposals in response to requests from existing and potential customers.
    • Facilitate management of accounts payable and accounts receivable (billing and collections).
    • Identify and communicate overall risk management priorities to senior management team.
    • Define reporting and alerting requirements for Aviation division.
    • Identify and report common sources of technical and operational issues to senior team. Create and implement compliance metrics to ensure issues are contained in a timely fashion.

    • May be requested to perform other duties as assigned by VP of Aviation/Financial Controller.
    • Must be flexible to work scheduled and/or non- scheduled hours as required.


    • Exceptional communication skills required; ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization and to collaborate cross-functionally across a wide range of roles within the organization and with several different geographic office locations.
    • Self-starter; ability to complete objectives with a high sense of urgency under limited direct supervision.
    • Demonstrates ability to work with others and interact appropriately.
    • Proactively maintains communication with other managers. Relates information regarding significant events or situations that may affect other areas of the business.
